Oracle’s decision to recode its applications for the cloud is paying off big time, says Swami Natarajan, senior director, Strategy and Business Development at Oracle.

To understand the impact of this long-term approach, fast forward to 2020’s COVID-19 lockdowns. By then Oracle had in the region of 1 100 cloud-native applications – and a growing range of clients from multinationals to SMEs.

Along the way, Oracle’s cloud applications had also gained analyst approval. For example, in 2020, Gartner named Oracle as a Magic Quadrant Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Cloud Core Financial Management Suites for Midsize, Large and Global Enterprise for the fourth time. Gartner ranked Oracle highest for Ability to Execute and furthest for Completeness of Vision.
