Could blockchain tech make African elections more accountable?

Nasdaq has used it for shareholder voting. It is being piloted by the US state of West Virginia. Kaspersky Lab has built a platform that utilises it for voting.

It is called blockchain, and it’s coming to an election near you. The open, distributed ledger, which records transactions between two parties in a verifiable and permanent way, is usually associated with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, but now, wider uses are being found for it.
