There are people who are drawn to technology from the start, and Ushal Moonsamy, executive director and chief solutions officer at SqwidNet, is one of them. From building rockets in high school to creating home automation projects during her electronic engineering study days, she has always been passionate and curious about technology and how it can change the future, shift perspectives and connect people.

“I’ve been in the business of connecting people since I landed a bursary at Siemens Telecommunications,” Moonsamy says. “That kickstarted my career in the telco space, and now I connect things through SqwidNet’s Internet of Things network. “I believe that technology is a critical business enabler to drive innovation and profit, so I turned my focus to business studies and got a B.Com in Management and Economics and an MBA to complement my engineering background.
