The death of reporting

The problem with the internet isn`t the price, quality or availability of information. It`s the lack of incentive for primary reporting.

The copyright horse has bolted. No, copyleft or creative commons aren't new alternatives. They're merely copyright licences and cannot exist without copyright. They're in just as much trouble as the "pay-or-we-sue" version.

Copyright is a natural right. That remains true even when it appears (wrongly) that a breach doesn't harm the owner because the copy doesn't deprive them of the original or wouldn't have been bought anyway. Copyright law merely codifies a natural right. But this law has become technically unenforceable. It's a lost cause.
