A quarter of the way into 2019 and two new digital banks have announced their arrival – Discovery Bank and TymeBank – with a third (Bank Zero) on its way in the next few months.

The relaunch of African Bank, rescued from the wilderness aft er years in administration, and PostBank’s entry to what is beginning to look like a crowded market, suggest customers will likely be spoiled for choice.
