The IDC predicts that 90% of organisations will commit to a multi-cloud strategy within the next two years. But very few businesses have moved mission critical workloads to the cloud, citing performance and regulatory issues. According to Ovum research, 20% of business processes have already moved to the cloud.

Pat Gelsinger, VMware CEO, said a new version of VMware Cloud Foundation – announced in Barcelona today -- was the ‘full recipe’ for building a cloud environment, and provided a seamless path to and from the public cloud.
