It’s in this realm that the AI developer rules supreme, bringing a plethora of skills and capabilities into a growing market that desperately needs them. But what is this mythical creature? What does an AI developer actually do? It turns out that nobody is entirely sure of either the peg or the hole when it comes to figuring out where to put the AI developer.

“There isn’t a clear definition of an AI developer,” says Dr Eva-Marie Muller-Stuler, chief data scientist and leader of the Centre of Excellence for Data Science, IBM Middle East and Africa. “It completely depends on the type of company and what it wants to achieve by leveraging AI or data science.”
