The world`s number one gamer, Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, recently attended the rAge gaming expo held in Johannesburg. Brainstorm managed to talk to him about his career as a cyber-athlete.

The popularity of computer gaming has snowballed to the point where being a gamer can now also be a viable career choice. Gaming pioneer, Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, is not only the world`s top gamer but has even managed to turn fun into serious profit.

It all started at the age of five, when 24-year old Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel first picked up a gaming control and set his eyes on the third person shooter, Akai Warrior. But for the first 13 years of his gaming life Wendel said, “He did it for fun”.
