Natural language processing has always remained tantalisingly out of reach in the computer science field, along with true AI. The day we can speak to a computerised device and it understands us enough to do something intelligent seems as far away as ever.

Carl Greyling, founder of startup Gatfol, wants to do something about that. He’s been tackling the problem of natural language processing, as it applies to search and artificial personalities in games, for some 12 years now.
