Is games-based learning the same thing as gamifying education?

To create a fully-inclusive classroom, educators are constantly being challenged to create learning activities that cater to all types of learners.

“Students learn in different ways. Learning styles include visual, auditory, physical, verbal, social and solitary,” says Michelle Lissoos, Think Ahead Education Solutions’ MD. “We need to ensure learning is engaging and motivating to meet the needs of the recipient. Technology gives us a tool to meet these various styles. Gamification of learning increases student engagement for a wide variety of learning styles.”
