Software company Mobenzi is doing its bit for poor communities.

11 August 2017

Every day, millions of children arrive at school too hungry to concentrate on their lessons. Many in the poorest communities didn’t have supper the night before, and the free school lunch is still hours away. Thankfully for the pupils in 89 schools, the Tiger Brands Foundation is there to serve them a nutritious breakfast designed to feed their bodies and stimulate their brains.

“We go to the poorest of the poor in pockets of deprivation, where there’s little probability of good nutrition,” says Eugene Absolom, director of the Tiger Brands Foundation. Every child in the school gets a breakfast, as well as every member of staff.
