Death of the PC?

It seems reports of the death of the PC are greatly exaggerated.

01 October 2012

Discussing the demise of the traditional PC is a little like discussing the arrival of the paperless office. It’s an interesting and possibly feasible theory, but nowhere near coming true in practice.

The amount of laptops and mobile devices now being used has certainly muscled out the bulky computer to some degree, but when we asked CIOs whether the PC was dying and if they were migrating their troops to notebooks, the answer was no. Or yes, to some extent, but nowhere near entirely.
