CIO Survey

Satisfying software customers

South African CIOs are prioritising software purchases. Whatever works, wins.

10 March 2009

Local, it seems, is lekker when it comes to enterprise software. At least according to the annual Enterprise Software Survey conducted by nFold Software in association with local research firm World Wide Worx.

While only 17 percent of the survey’s respondents said they would prefer to buy locally developed software and a mere 7.5 percent prefer in-house developed software (compared with the 60.4 percent who said they prefer to buy from a global reseller), the satisfaction levels for locally developed products were considerably higher than those from international vendors.
