Not even 10 years old, Freshworks is a rising SaaS star.

Founded in October 2010 as Freshdesk by Girish Mathrubootham and Shan Krishnasamy, today, under the revised moniker of Freshworks, the company has over 250 000 customers worldwide. Most of its customer base are small or medium-sized businesses, but it also counts impressive names, such as Naspers, Cisco, HP, Hugo Boss, Pearson, Honda, and American Express among its clients.

The company describes itself as a ‘Software- as-a-Service’ customer engagement company. Its product portfolio names all start with the word 'fresh'; for example, Freshdesk is a helpdesk software, Freshservice is an IT service management software, Freshsales is a CRM product and Freshcaller is a cloud-based phone system. And its products are critically acclaimed too, with Freshdesk, Freshservice and Freshsales all being recognised in separate Gartner Magic Quadrant reports last year. The company has also leaped up the Forbes Cloud 100 list, jumping 20 spots to number 40 since last year.
