Relax. I`ll shop for you

Combatants in the battle for market dominance in the British retail industry are becoming more ruthless and, it seems, more desperate.

In June, the British supermarket chain Sainsbury`s unveiled what it termed “a ground-breaking customer focused store” in Manchester. Its construction was inspired by a customer wish list. The new store features technology and services so customer friendly they could well have come from another planet.

However, supermarkets such as Sainsbury`s and Tesco are definitely trying to make the change for the better. It is almost entertaining to watch the exchanges in the ongoing battle between these two giants for (super) market domination.
