You have to spend quite a lot of time online nowadays to be classified as an Internet addict, it seems. I recently took ITWeb`s online survey on Internet addiction, run in conjunction with Wits University, and was disappointed to find I only rate moderately high.

Most people probably would shy away from the term “addict”. In truth, most people have some form of addiction, or at least a highly-developed habit that resembles addiction. Whether it be coffee, tea, coca-cola, cigarettes, stamp collecting or crack cocaine, habits and addictions are so commonplace that I don`t feel embarrassed by them.
