If you browse around for the definition of a chief technology officer, one answer defines it as the person responsible for the transformation of capital into technology that can help a company.

Mayan Mathen is CTO of Dimension Data and he fits the formal definition reasonably well. A more informal definition probably wouldn’t do him justice. Suffice to say that his ‘Day in The Life’ started mid-morning and finished well after midnight at the Sandton News Cafe.
